No, you don’t need a referral. You can contact A Caring Place Counselling directly to book a session.
I’m not a psychologist and do not diagnose mental health disorders, so Mental Health Care Plans are not applicable. However, many clients choose to see a counsellor privately for the flexibility and personalised support this provides.
All sessions are offered via secure telehealth. You can join from your phone, tablet, or computer — wherever you feel most comfortable.
Sessions typically run for 60 minutes. This allows time to explore what’s happening for you and to work together at a comfortable pace.
Counselling can support you through challenges such as stress, overwhelmed, burnout, caring responsibilities, grief, relationship strain, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself.
Everyone’s journey is different. Some people benefit from a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing support. We’ll discuss what feels right for you.
Yes. Everything shared in counselling remains confidential, except in situations where there is a legal or ethical obligation to ensure your safety or the safety of others.
That’s completely okay. Sessions are relaxed, supportive, and guided at your pace. You don’t need to prepare anything — just bring yourself.
